To Diego's wife Gracie and family. I am sorry to hear of your loss. I was just asking about both of you to my son Joe woods. Your family was always held close in my heart. When I heard news about your departure I was so saddened... then I thought of you and all the good you did here on this earth....your kindness and warmth to all the former students at Pius and the Loaf...you were loved and respected by everyone...by all your peers,students and staff....you had such an impact on so many of our students...you were loved by them as a father and grandfather figure ..something many of our students never had...you tried as a councilor at Pius to be tough { that was Gracie's job} but you had such a big heart...you were such a role model to everyone but more importantly your own children...your family was so important to you...you were so proud of your daughters and your son..I had to listen to you all about Diego junior and his baseball at Monticello HS...you talked about your own children 24-7 always with a proud smile...and of course Gracie...she would take home visits away from kids and you would put them back on home visits lists.. I would of loved to sit in the back seat of your car driving home listening to you two crazy people...
I can't be there at your funeral but you made everyone you touched a better person...I will never forget you and my prayers and thoughts are with Gracia and your entire crew...the sad news is that we all lost you..but the good news is when St Peter met you at the gate you had a "home visit" right to heaven...peace and love Tony DiMarco
